Why I Chose the Name Wonderfully Made
When it came time to rename my photography business, I spent months searching for the perfect name.
I wanted something meaningful.
Something timeless.
Something that reflected not only what I photograph, but why I photograph it.
As a maternity and baby photographer, I have the privilege of documenting one of life's most beautiful miracles—the journey into motherhood and the precious little lives that are just beginning.
But every name I considered felt like it was missing something.
Then one day, I found myself reflecting on a scripture that has always held a special place in my heart:
"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." — Psalm 139:14
And in that moment, everything clicked.
Wonderfully Made.
Not just because it was beautiful.
Not just because it was memorable.
But because it perfectly captures what I believe every mother and every baby deserves to know.
Every Baby Is Wonderfully Made
Long before a baby takes their first breath, they are already deeply loved.
They are known.
They are cherished.
They are unique.
From the tiniest fingers and toes to the little kicks felt during pregnancy, every detail is part of a miracle unfolding.
Every baby has a story before they are even born.
And every one of them is wonderfully made.
As a maternity photographer, I am constantly reminded of this truth as I witness mothers carrying, nurturing, and loving their little ones before they ever meet face-to-face.
Mothers Are Wonderfully Made Too
While the name often brings babies to mind, it is equally about mothers.
Pregnancy is powerful.
Beautiful.
Transformative.
Yet many women spend these months focused on changing bodies, stretch marks, swollen feet, and exhaustion.
What I hope every mother sees through my lens is something different.
Strength.
Grace.
Beauty.
Love.
The incredible miracle of a woman creating life.
You are wonderfully made too.
More Than Just Photographs
Photography has never been only about taking pictures for me.
It's about preserving moments that disappear far too quickly.
The tiny fluttering kicks.
The anticipation.
The excitement.
The way a mother gently rests her hands on her growing belly.
These are moments that deserve to be remembered.
Years from now, these photographs become part of your family's story.
They become treasures your children will look back on and realize just how loved they were before they were ever born.
The Heart Behind Wonderfully Made
The name Wonderfully Made is a reminder of something I hope every family who steps in front of my camera feels:
You are enough.
You are beautiful.
Your story matters.
And the little life you are carrying is a miracle worth celebrating.
My goal isn't simply to create beautiful images.
It's to create photographs that remind families of the love, wonder, and beauty woven into every stage of motherhood.
